About Halation
Halation is an AI-enabled production partner in London, and a sister company to In Color Productions Limited. It was founded in 2026 by producer Jonny Kight to do one thing: give live productions the capability of these tools without handing anyone's job, footage or performance to them. You engage Halation the way you would engage a second unit, a VFX house or a post facility — credited, contracted, and on the floor.
We are not a SaaS product, a tool you license or a platform. We work on day-rates and project-rates, in prep, on set and in post, and every delivery carries an AI Usage Schedule and a Rights Schedule.
Why it exists.
OriginMost of what is sold as AI production is a tool, a subscription, or a studio that replaces the shoot. Halation started from the opposite question: what would a producer, a director or a VFX supervisor want sitting beside them on a real job?
The answer was a crew that has worked on set, purpose-built workflows for the recurring problems of a production, and explicit guardrails around performance, likeness and authorship. The name is the photographic halation around a highlight on film: the warm edge around the work, not the centre of it.

Film and commercial producer. Founder of In Color Productions Limited, a London studio making commercials, music videos and film, and of Halation. Commercial credits include John Lewis, Tesco, Carlsberg, British Airways, Burberry and Channel 4; music videos for Blur and John Newman. Work he has produced has been recognised at Cannes Lions, D&AD, the British Arrows, the BRIT Awards and the APAs. He runs Halation's workflows himself and sits in on the jobs it works on.
Mike Glynn
Location Manager on Halation and In Color productions. Mike's location data — scouts, recce stills and drone material — is what Halation's pre-viz and storyboard workflow is built from, so boards are made from the places a job will actually shoot in, never generic imagery.
