HalationThe two schedules

Two documents
with every delivery.

AI Usage Schedule · Rights Schedule

Every piece of work Halation delivers comes with two plain documents. The AI Usage Schedule records what was touched, how, and with what. The Rights Schedule records whose consent and which licences sit behind it, and when each one needs renewing. Together they mean nobody has to take our word for what AI did on a job — it is written down, shot by shot.

They exist because the question every producer, agency and broadcaster now asks is the same one: what exactly did the AI do, and are we allowed to use it?

The AI Usage Schedule.

Document I

What it records, per deliverable

  • The shots or assets AI touched, by timecode or asset name
  • What was done to each — removal, extension, reframe, continuity, look development
  • Which models did it, and what each was tuned on
  • Where the source material came from: the production's own rushes, plates and references
  • Who finished the work by hand, and which steps were manual
  • What was not done: no performance synthesised or altered, no likeness created
  • What happens to the job model at the end: archived or deleted, and when

How it is used

  • Attached to the delivery alongside the masters
  • Readable by a client or a broadcaster's compliance team without a technical briefing
  • Matches the disclosure a platform, broadcaster or clearance body may require
  • Kept with the job, and updated if a version is re-cut later

The Rights Schedule.

Document II

What it records, per deliverable

  • Every talent agreement and consent, including any consent relating to likeness
  • Music, stock, font and location licences
  • The usage envelope for each: territory, media, term
  • The renewal date for each, on one calendar
  • What the work may and may not be re-cut into without a new clearance

How it is used

  • Reads the job's whole rights position on one page
  • Flags a renewal before it lapses, not after
  • Travels with the work when it is versioned for another market or format
  • Belongs to the production, not to Halation

Questions asked.

Questions
What is an AI Usage Schedule?

A per-deliverable record of where AI was used on a piece of work: which shots or assets, what was done to them, which models did it, what those models were tuned on, who finished the work by hand, and what happens to the job model when the job ends. It is written in plain language so a producer, a client or a legal team can read it without us in the room.

What is a Rights Schedule?

A per-deliverable register of every licence and consent behind the work: talent, music, stock, fonts, locations and any likeness. For each one it records the usage envelope — territory, media, term — and the renewal date, so the whole job's rights position can be read on one page and nothing lapses unnoticed.

Who gets them?

The production. Both schedules are delivered with the work and belong to the job, not to Halation. They are yours to pass on to a client, an agency or a broadcaster's compliance team.

Do you publish them?

For client work, no — they are the production's documents. For characters and films Halation makes for its own channels, yes: each one's AI Usage Schedule and Rights Schedule are published, including the credit for the actor who performs it.

What happens to our footage and the job model?

Your footage is used on your job only. A model tuned to a production learns from that production's own material and nothing else, and it is archived or deleted at the end of the job exactly as the AI Usage Schedule says.
