Answers while the
unit is still there.

On-set problem-solving

Halation puts AI-fluent crew on set to solve problems while the unit is still on the floor. We check continuity, show reframe options for social cutdowns, and build rapid VFX pre-comps so the director, DoP and VFX supervisor can see whether a shot will work before the set-up moves on. That means fewer surprises in post and fewer pick-ups. We capture the extra material later fixes depend on — clean plates, lighting references and product turnarounds — and we work to the first AD’s schedule, not our own.

We are engaged like a second unit: credited, contracted and on the call sheet.

What it covers

  • Continuity checks across set-ups and days
  • Reframe previews for 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1
  • Rapid VFX pre-comps for review on set
  • Clean plates, HDRIs and lighting references
  • Product and pack turnarounds for later versioning

What we don’t do

  • Slow the floor down
  • Make creative calls that belong to the director or DoP
  • Create a performance that wasn’t given

How it works.

Process
01 — Prep

We plan with the departments

We agree with VFX, camera and the first AD what to capture and when.

02 — Floor

We work beside the unit

Continuity, reframes and pre-comps, shown on set as the day runs.

03 — Capture

We gather for post

Plates, references and turnarounds, logged against the shot list.

04 — Hand over

We pass it on

Everything goes to editorial and VFX with notes, ready for post.
